MacbethLady Macbeth As You Like It Le Beau/Phebe
Sarah was recently seen as Lady Macbeth for the Mermaid Theatre Company and Divadlo Miloco presentation of the Prague Shakespeare Festival's production of Macbeth at Divadlo Komedie in the Czech Republic. Other Mermaid credits include Olivia in Guy Roberts' Prague Shakespeare Festival's workshop of Twelfth Night and Phebe/Le Beau for the Mermaid & Austin Shakespeare Festival production of As You Like It. Sarah received an Austin Critic's Table Award nomination for her performance of Emilia in ASF's Othello. Other ASF credits include: Diana in the American Premiere of the Royal Shakespeare Company and David Johnston new translation of Lope de Vega's The Dog in the Manger, as well as Lady Anne in Richard III, Ophelia in Hamlet, Julia Melville in The Rivals, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Hippolyta/Cobweb in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sarah in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). Other credits include the Austin Playhouse productions of House and Garden and A Man For All Seasons. Sarah has studied and performed at The Guthrie Theatre, Children's Theatre Company, Hennepin Center for the Arts and The Second City. Originally from Minneapolis, Sarah studied at the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her MFA. As a writer, Sarah has received an AWP Intro Award, a Bucknell Younger Poets Award, a James A. Michener fellowship, and was a semifinalist for the Paramount Pictures/Chesterfield Screenwriting Competition as well as a finalist for the Institute for Humane Studies' Young Communicators Award for Film.
